Each month from February, enjoy a unique afternoon tea inspired by the five longest serving British queens, ending in June as London marks the 60 year reign of Queen Elizabeth ll.

 

FEBRUARY – Queen Mary l
Bloody Mary


Taking inspiration from her sobriquet and marriage to the King of Spain, enjoy a Bloody Mary cocktail with an afternoon tea including Spanish tapas and pasteries.

 

 

MARCH – Queen Elizabeth l
The Virgin Queen

Inspired by her notoriety for never marrying and her influence on American history and the state of Virgina, this afternoon tea includes a selection of Anerican classics such as mini-burger, hot dogs, chocolate brownies and peanut butter cookies, with a cocktail of mandarin and passion fruit puree, Appleton Estate Rum, finger beer and a dash of grenadine.

 

 

APRIL – Queen Anne
Brandy Nan

Influenced by her fondness for a tipple of brandy and the saving of Austria  under her reign, this afternoon tea includes a selection of Austrian sandwiches & pastries such as apple strudel, with a cocktail of Hennessy Fine Cognac stirred with red fruit tea, honey orgeat and cherry syrup.

 

MAY – Queen Victoria
Empress of India

Her coronation as the Empress of India, following Britian’s colonial expansion into the region, provides the muse for an afternoon tea of sandwich fillings & pastries such as chicken tikka massala and sweet samosas, with a cocktail of Bombay Sapphire gin shaken with Darjeeling tea, strawberry syrup, cacao and Kahlua.
 
 

JUNE – Queen Elizabeth ll
The Diamond Queen

To celebrate our current Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, enjoy the best of British with an afternoon tea that includes trifle, millionaire shortbread and coronation chicken sandwiches, with a special cocktail of Earl Grey tea stirred with Dubonnet, Bombay Sapphire gin and bitters.
