Andaz Liverpool Street Celebrates Valentine’s Day With Secret, Forbidden Or Just Plain Funny Love Stories
Andaz Liverpool Street hotel offers a special pre-dinner evening of story-telling for St Valentine’s Day

When: Saturday, 13 February
Time: 6:00pm to 7:00pm
Booking: 0207 618 5061 or fiona.pouchard@andaz.com.

London (11 January 2010) - Andaz Liverpool Street and Evie Salmon offer guests (residents and non-residents) a special pre-dinner event to celebrate St Valentine’s Day by sharing stories of love.

Through her readings, Evie will explore the elements of love including pain and joy, as well as forbidden love, the history of love and Valentine’s Day, and embarrassing humorous tales. There will also be readings and a discussion by a specially invited panel.

Stories will come from both the present and the past and will be written by local residents or more well-known writers and artists. During the event, guests will also be able to drop their own stories into a glass to be read out loud (anonymity assured). Short theatre pieces will be performed and a video jockey will mix found footage and stills of found photos to accompany Evie’s stories.

To add more romanticism and mystery to the occasion, the event will be held in Andaz Liverpool Street’s secret Masonic Temple.

Guests are encouraged to send their own love stories, whether they are funny, sad, secret or forbidden to Andaz prior to the event. Please email to fiona.pouchard@andaz.com.

The event is £10 per person, which includes a glass of champagne and canapés.

Andaz Liverpool Street also offers guests a package that includes a one night stay with roses in the room, late check-out, dinner in 1901 restaurant or Catch restaurant and breakfast for just £255 + VAT. To book this package, go to www.andaz.com.

For guests who fancy doing it on the actual night, Valentine’s Day itself (Sunday, 14 February), 1901 is hosting a romantic evening for £75 per person, featuring a four-course dinner, a complimentary glass of champagne, live music and a rose per table, along with a love quote and, for the winners of a lucky draw, some great prizes, including a weekend stay in a Hyatt hotel overseas, dinner for two in one of our five restaurants or a bottle of champagne.
